Move a lead through the stages
Your pipeline is your working list. Adding a lead as an opportunity and moving it stage to stage is how you keep an at-a-glance picture of who needs a call, who’s waiting on an application, and who to revisit at AEP.
Add a lead to the pipeline
Section titled “Add a lead to the pipeline”- Open Opportunities from the left menu.
- Add a new opportunity and connect it to the contact (or create the contact if they’re brand new).
- Set the starting stage — usually New Lead.
Move it as things happen
Section titled “Move it as things happen”As your relationship with the lead progresses, drag the opportunity to the stage that matches reality:
- Reached them and the conversation’s alive → Engagement
- Got an appointment on the calendar → Appointment Set
- Submitted their application → App Submitted
- Policy approved and active → Enrolled / Accepted
- Someone to circle back to at the Annual Enrollment Period → AEP Lead
- Not moving forward → Closed / Lost (keep it — the history is useful)
Use it as your daily driver
Section titled “Use it as your daily driver”Open Opportunities each morning and work top to bottom. The stages tell you what each person needs next without you having to remember. A lead sitting in Engagement for two weeks is a signal to follow up; a stack in App Submitted is your paperwork to chase.
